Job Description: Apprio is looking for a Regional PreparednessLiaison who will work directly with the FEMA regional Community PreparednessOfficers to support the preparedness efforts of FEMA regions and at ICPD atFEMA headquarters. The RPL shall develop and execute strategic partnershipsthroughout the region to engage the whole community in FEMA's suite ofcommunity-based, action-focused programs. Provide technical assistance,including media relations, social media and event planning, to local, state andfederal partners, helping them create successful public relations campaignsthat turn awareness into action. In addition, provide support to FEMA's YouthPreparedness Council, bringing together youth leaders from across the regionswho are highly engaged in advocating preparedness and making a difference intheir communities. Responsibilities: Serve as a technical expert toprovide assistance to preparedness programs within FEMA Regional Offices Provide support to the FEMAregional Community Preparedness Officer for meetings, conferences andcommunication Provide support to state andlocal partners to assist with promoting individual and community preparedness Assist the delivery ofcommunity preparedness events within the region as well as national levelinitiatives Support client needs atmeetings with various levels of agency leadership Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree CertificationPreferred: N/A Required Experience:4 to 6 years of experience RequirementKnowledge: Understand FEMA and DHS'sorganizational and command structures, mission, programs, policies, underlyingauthorities, key support functions, and strategic plans Experience in homelandsecurity/emergency management at the federal, state, or local government level Ability to analyze complexproblems and have the knowledge of standard business practices andmethodologies in order to provide the client with potential solutions sets forthem make informed decisions.
