This positionisbased in Atlanta, GA at our beautiful Downtown HQ and LEED Gold certified building. Responsibilities: The Cellulose Business Analyst will provide financial performance and forecasting support to the executive business team. The position will report to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for GP Cellulose in Atlanta, GA. In addition to optimizing activities, job responsibilities include financial reporting of executive level reports for the business group. Further details of responsibilities: Business Financial Performance Analysis, Reporting, Forecasting & Monitoring Effectively prepare, analyze, and communicate the business financial health, trends and relevant insights that supports profitable decision making through monthly, quarterly and annual reports for executive management. Work, partner and collaborate with various business teams/capabilities (operations, commercial, innovation, HR, logistics, safety, environmental, accounting) to analyze and understand changes in key financial metrics and provide ad-hoc analysis that can be leveraged to build long term points of view where value can be captured. Partner and align with business leaders to develop strategies and identify opportunities for profitable growth. Maintain a portfolio of historical and upcoming relevant business changes/events, internal and external, to provide financial performance clarity and maintain management focus on highest value opportunities Assist in integrating acquired businesses to ensure financial results and forecasts adhere to GPs internal and external reporting requirements Provide analytical support that evaluates venture acquisition model vs. actual performance Assist in the review of long-term hold values for Cellulose business Perform financial performance benchmarking (internal, external and state of the art) to identify and accelerate strategies to close and outperform GAPS (cost) identified in benchmarking process Maintain, improve/innovate and develop information systems to support efficient/effective reporting processes that help the business create value. Work with IT resources in advancing new reporting platforms, automating data gathering, and enhancing current software. Participate on segment reporting and strategic projects as necessary. Decision Making Support & Capital Investment Analysis Participate and learn the decision-making framework process for capital ventures Advance economic thinking skills within the management team and mill system What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher inFinance, Accounting or related Business field At least two years of experience performing financial analysis Experience using Microsoft Office Suite with proficient skills in Excel (creating charts,formatting cells, working with macros & pivot tables etc.), Access (ability to work with & manipulate large sets of data), PowerPoint (change slide layout, applying newpresentation design and inserting images etc.) Must be willing and able to travel at least 25% Capabilities: Clear understanding of database structure Ability to mine and convert data into meaningful information through leveraging software and other state of the art tools Ability to summarize and clearly communicate relevant information to senior leadership Strong communication skills including oral, written, presentation, coaching and active listening Knowledge of economic principles and marginal analysis Requires strong customer focus and sense of urgency Must be flexible and able to prioritize mul
